RE: How are you and your RV during these times?

We have been using ours too. Two trips this summer, and we will be going down to our lot at Outdoor Resorts in Port St.Lucie this winter. Here in Charlotte NC we have had more trouble finding gas for the car than diesel for the MH.

RE: Diesel in Mrytle Beach SC?

My son just returned from Myrtle Beach and said that there was plenty of gas. Not sure about diesel.
I live in Charlotte and right now gas is in short supply.

RE: Want to buy a used Safari Trek

We had a Trek with the chevy diesel. One of the things that we didn't like about ours was the roof air conditioning unit. It was just too small to cool the motor home. Also I didn't like the propane generator. We never had a problem with the electro magic bed. The Chevy diesel engine was ok, it would have been nice if it had a little more power but we did average around 10 mpg.

RE: Calling all Revolution drivers

We also have a Revolution with around 40,000 miles. No major problems with ours. Great coach. I just hope that Fleetwood is able to stay in business. Things don't look too good for them. I'm also not too sure about Monaco right now.

Winnebago stock is 12.21 Fleetwood stock is at 1.65 and Monaco stock is 2.50
Maybe now is the time to buy some RV stocks.

RE: Possible first DP---What should I not travel without?

I am surprised that no one said duct tape. We just got back from a trip to visit my cousin in Va. When we arrived and I got ready to hook up, the first thing I needed was a piece of duct tape. Had a hose with a split. The tape held until I could buy a new hose at Wally World. :)

Winnebago stocks

I have been watching the RV mfgs stock, and Winnebago is doing pretty good. In fact it went up today.
I guess I have too much time on my hands. :)

RE: So my buddy says........

We had a 36ft Safari. It wasn't too bad, but in heavy winds it could be a handful.
I don't think I would want anything under 36ft.

RE: What Do You Do Now That You Are Retired?

Well let's see. When I get up the first thing I do is take the dog out. Then I make coffee. While I'm drinking my coffee I watch the news on the TV. Then I have breakfast. Then I take a walk. By then I'm tired so I take a nap. After that it's lunch time. After lunch it's time to take the dog out again. Then another nap. Now it's time for supper. Wow!! Where did the time go?:h

RE: Ever Use An RV Inspection Service??

I would really be surprised if a RV dealer would let someone take a rig off their lot to get it checked out.

Stupid laws

This really is a law in Charlotte NC
Women must have their bodies covered by at least 16 yards of cloth at all times.

RE: RV related, but not in the literal sense.

If it were me, I wouldn't do it. Nobody will take care of your rig like you will. You could end up with your fifth wheel being trashed and you will still have to pay for it.

Some people don't need pets

While on a recent trip we pulled into a camp ground for the night. They said we were in luck as they had one site left. When we got to our site, I went outside to hookup and I couldn't believe what I saw. The site next to us was covered in dog poop. I don't mean just a little bit, it was covered. I couldn't even get to the electrical or sewer connections because I would have to step in dog poop. I would like to add that there was a dog run just a very short distance away. I went to the office and told them about the problem and they sent a young man down to check it out. Well about that time a lady came out and started screaming at me for turning her in. She said that her dog got out last night and messed and she just hadn't cleaned it up yet. I got to tell you NO dog could poop that much in one night. Then she sent her son out to clean everything up. He looked to be about 7 or 8 years old. The poor kid was about to throw up. When he finished, he had a garbage bag full. I've been RVing a long time and I've never seen anything like this before.
